Verify a document
Every tax document IBIS produces carries a verification code in its footer. Enter it here to confirm IBIS issued the document, for what period, and whether the business had declared that period final.
You do not need an account, and you are not asked to share the document.
What this does and does not tell you
IBIS can confirm what it issued: the kind of document, the period it covers, the date it was produced, whether it was a draft or a filing, and — if you have the file — whether your copy is byte-for-byte the one IBIS produced.
It does not vouch for the figures. Those are the business's own declaration to SARS, drawn from records IBIS keeps but does not audit. What a sealed period does tell you is that the business declared it complete and correct, and that the records behind it can no longer be edited — a claim they cannot walk back.
Nothing about the document is disclosed beyond that. No amounts, no client names, no company details. If you are holding the document you already have those; repeating them here would put them at risk without proving anything more.
